Installation requirements for gas flowmeter.
There are many kinds of gas flow meters, among which the common flow meters are vortex street flow meters; Turbine flowmeter. In order to ensure the measurement accuracy of vortex flowmeter calibration, the installation position and method must be correctly selected.
The gas flowmeter is mainly installed in the pipeline to record the flow of gas. It can measure blast furnace gas flowmeter, coke oven gas mass flowmeter, gas, air, nitrogen, acetylene, phosgene, hydrogen, natural gas, nitrogen, liquefied petroleum gas, hydrogen peroxide, flue gas, methane, butane, chlorine, gas, biogas, carbon dioxide, oxygen, compressed air, argon, toluene, benzene, xylene, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide and ammonia. In order to ensure the accuracy of gas measurement, the installation position and method must be correctly selected. The installation requirements and standard operating instructions of the gas flowmeter are as follows.
[requirements for bypass pipe]
In order to ensure that the maintenance of the flowmeter will not affect the normal use of the medium, a stop valve (stop valve) shall be installed on the front and rear pipelines of the flowmeter, and a bypass pipeline shall be set. The flow control valve shall be installed at the downstream of the flowmeter, and the stop valve installed at the upstream must be fully opened when the flowmeter is used to avoid unstable upstream fluid flow.
[requirements for straight pipe section]
The flowmeter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (the inclination of the pipeline is within 50 °). During installation, the flowmeter axis shall be concentric with the pipeline axis, and the flow direction shall be consistent.
The upstream pipe length of the flowmeter shall be equal to or not less than 2D straight pipe section. If the installation location permits, it is recommended that the upstream straight pipe section is 20d and the downstream straight pipe section is 5D.

The inner diameter of the upstream and downstream pipes at the installation point of the flowmeter is the same as that of the flowmeter.
[requirements for impurities in the medium]
In order to ensure the service life of the flowmeter, a filter shall be installed in front of the straight pipe section of the flowmeter.
[requirements for external environment]
The flowmeter should preferably be installed indoors. When it must be installed outdoors, it must be protected from sun and rain. Lightning protection measures shall be taken to avoid affecting the service life.
[installation location]
The flowmeter shall be installed at a place convenient for maintenance without strong electromagnetic interference and thermal radiation.
[installation and welding requirements]
Another pair of standard flanges are welded on the front and rear pipes. Welding with flowmeter is not allowed!
Before installing the flowmeter, strictly remove the welding slag and other dirt in the pipeline. It is better to use the equal diameter pipeline (or bypass pipe) to replace the flowmeter to purge the pipeline. Ensure that the flowmeter is not damaged during use.
When installing the flowmeter, the sealing gasket between flanges shall not be recessed into the pipe.

The flowmeter shall be reliably grounded and cannot be shared with the grounding wire of the high-voltage system.
[requirements for explosion proof products]
For the safe and normal use of the instrument, the use environment of the explosion-proof flowmeter shall be checked before leaving the factory to see whether it meets the user's explosion-proof requirements. The installation and use shall strictly comply with the use requirements of national explosion-proof products. The user shall not change the connection mode of the explosion-proof system or open the instrument at will.

Prevent overspeed operation within the specified flow range to ensure ideal accuracy and normal service life.
Before installing the flowmeter, clean the sundries, welding slag, stones, dust, etc. in the pipeline. It is recommended to install a 5 micron mesh automatic filter upstream to block droplets and sand particles.
Installation specification for gas flowmeter.
When the flowmeter is put into operation, the front valve shall be opened slowly first, and then the rear valve shall be opened to prevent instantaneous air flow impact from damaging the turbine.
Lubricating oil shall be added according to the signs. The number of times to add lubricating oil depends on the cleanliness of the gas quality. Generally, it is 2-3 times a year. The turbine overspeed caused by pressure test, purging pipeline or exhaust gas, and the counter flow operation of the turbine may damage the flowmeter.
When the flowmeter is running, it is not allowed to open it at will. Change the internal parameters of the back cover, otherwise the normal operation of the flowmeter will be affected.
Carefully install the gasket to ensure that no protrusions enter the pipe to prevent interference with normal flow measurement.
To calibrate the flowmeter, the pressure shall be collected at the pressure inlet of the flowmeter.
Installation requirements for gas turbine flowmeter.
Introduction to installation requirements
a. Normal temperature, low temperature and high temperature flow meters shall be installed horizontally, vertically or upside down according to different working conditions;
b . When the working temperature of the medium is above 300 ℃, the user shall take thermal insulation measures to prevent thermal radiation from damaging the meter. Similarly, antifreeze measures shall also be taken for media with operating temperature below -100 ℃.
c. In order to ensure the accuracy of flowmeter measurement, straight pipe sections are required to be set at the front and back;
d. In order to ensure that the flowmeter will not affect the system during inspection and replacement, bypass valve and stop valve shall be set as far as possible;
e. Due to process requirements, vertical installation can be adopted, and the flow direction of the measured medium can be from bottom to top or from top to bottom, but it shall be explained to the supplier when ordering;
f. The diameter of the flowmeter shall be the same as that of the connecting pipe to reduce flow interference and measurement error;
G. When installing flange type and clamp type flow meters, pay attention to whether the inner hole size of the sealing gasket between the flanges is 6-8mm larger than the diameter of the flowmeter and the process pipe, and whether it is coaxial, so as to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy due to interference with the flow;
h. For the installation of plug-in flowmeter, when the short pipe and flange are welded to the pipe, it must be ensured that the fluid is facing the stress surface of the target, and the height of the welded short pipe is 100mm;
1、 For newly completed process pipeline, flowmeter shall be installed after preliminary purging;
J. The direction indicated by the arrow on the outer wall of the measuring tube is the flow direction of the measured medium;
k. The flowmeter shell must be reliably grounded. If there is no grounding condition, it shall be explained to the manufacturer;
